Minecraft: Wii U Edition is the Wii U version of Minecraft developed by 4J Studios and Mojang AB. It was announced on December 7, 2015, and was released on December 17, 2015 for $29.99 on the eShop with a retail disc becoming available at a later date. This edition is bundled with six mash-up packs, and sixteen additional packs are also available as downloadable content. More Nintendo related content is expected to be added in the future.
